OLD STYLE MOUNTS FOR HUNTING SCOPES

1. Maintains scope in zero-No mount can hold a scope in zero under the accidental knocks it will receive in the field. The Bausch and Lomb mount uses the elementary principle that a round object will seat itself in a V. The scope gives to the knock and instantly returns to zero. This, also, provides considerable protection against damage.
2. Can be transferred from gun to gun without a loss of zero-It is the mount, not the internal adjustments of the scope, which are aligned with the bore of the gun. Therefore, if the mounts are zeroed in, the scope can be changed from gun to gun- and in a matter of seconds.
3. Adjustments are permanent-Once the adjustments are made ( a matter of 3 or 4 shots after bore sighting) and the lock screws tightened the mount bases are effectively a solid piece of metal- practically a part of the gun itself. There are no delicate parts or springs like that of an internal adjustment.
